So after the Sodwana disaster, I am heading back to Zululand for another crack at a large suite of edibles and inedibles just before winter sets in. I am taking two other people with me who are beginner fishermen and so I will be guiding and gillying for them for most of the time. However, I have a few targets that I would like to try and hit during this trip. The tides are interesting and in fact rather perfect for where we are fishing: Friday: Low 06:45 High 13:05 Low 19:22 High 01:43 Saturday: Low 07:53 High 14:02 Low 20:12 High 02:00

Sunday: High 02:28 Low 08:36 High 14:44 Low 20:50

Monday: High 03:05 Low 08:36 High 14:44 Low 21:26

Mtunzini has some amazing wading banks and so they should be perfect on Friday and Saturday evening as long as it isn't too wet. I am hoping to sort out a few species in the estuary. I still need Bar-tailed Flathead, Silver Silago, all the kingfish species etc so hopefully I can nail 5 estuary fish and then perhaps 3 inedible species which would take my total to 35.

One can only hope. Non-edible traces will all be bite traces and a few FMJ traces. In the estuary it will be mainly Berkley Jerk Minnows and Slow Jigging with a few double hook float traces with prawn & chokka. Maybe a grunter running trace or two.
