It was a good afternoon's fishing. There is still lots of weed in the water so its pretty slow going but it was a good day! I managed a White Sea Catfish at Mile 30 on a white mussel bait. Nothing else happening and until the weed clears up it doesn't seem worth it throw big baits for a shark. After missing out on catching a gajloen yesterday, I went back to my tried and tested scratching rig. I have always loved the Gamakatsu stinger hooks (B10S). They are razor sharp and whilst a little weak, they never miss. I had four galjoen within 30mins of arriving at my galjoen spot. I was fishing with my 10.6ft Exceller elite rod and it felt great!!!!!! Now that all the little lads are out of the way, it's time to go after a few of the big boys.
